if you dare.
But I can't assure my words
will get you anywhere.

They're more likely to leave you
stranded and deserted.
You're ego
having been subverted.

People have a way
of leaving us speechless.
The words leave us
to drown in weakness.

Words are the crutches
handed out to the frail.
They may also be
the poet's sail.

Whatever they are
they are most fallible.
They leave you at your worst,
Leave you grasping for something not tangible.


Words are there for you when you need them,
but when you need them most,
they leave you alone,
any synonyms of any word
not even coming close.
